What did you think about, or worry about, as you began to grapple with creating a unit for an online course?
The first thing that came to my mind is that how can my partner and I communicate and work together effectively? By Skype, chat, phone or meet in person? I had experience that I was in conference calls every weekend for 1.5 hour, and my ears hurt horribly afterwards. :P
Another thing that I worry about is developing the curriculum. I am not too worry about the content part of the curriculum because I have been teaching the subject matter f2f for three years. However, I am not sure what is the good way of doing this.
Turning a f2f curriculum into online curriculum: find technologies, web tools to accommodate f2f one?

I recommend a wiki for you and your partner to use for developing the course. You can also set the agenda on it before each Skype. This will make your Skype calls more focused and productive. As far as the development process, you can search for instructional design models. One of our readings discussed Gagne's model.
